About Govinda, COO of the brand Oh Lily!

Govinda Mediterranean diets

Govinda, the COO and Chef of the brand Oh Lily! has developed this new taste.

The development of recipes from different cultures has always fascinated her. Especially in the kitchen, there are so many opportunities to try new things.

She saw the puffed water lily seeds for the first time on a trip to India. People consume snacks because of their excellent nutritional value.

Looking at Mediterranean diets is another way to develop new meal plans.

Oh Lily! Indian Gold was born

At this time, she wasn’t sure if her friends in Europe would like the snacks in terms of taste. So she started to refine the puffed water lily seeds with different spices and olive oil. She only uses high quality and natural products.

One of the first products was Oh Lily! INDIAN GOLD. She didn’t want to experiment too much, and used spices also consumed in India. Only Guérande Sea Salt and Extra Virgin Olive Oil were new.

After her friends tried and loved the new product, Dewi (CEO) and Govinda decided to offer the product to local markets in England. It was a complete success.

Italy, Food and Mediterranean diets

Thinking about Italy and food, the Mediterranean diet is an exciting topic to discover further. The Mediterranean diet is based on people’s eating habits living in countries around the Mediterranean Sea.

It includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds and olive oil.

Most importantly, it’s about enjoying your food with family and friends.

The Mediterranean diet has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and other chronic diseases.

So it’s not surprising that the Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest diets in the world. You can find more on the NHS page.

Govinda lived in southern France on the Italian border for several years. Always comforting and warm to the touch, the gateway to Italy is a foodie’s paradise and the access to the Mediterranean diet.

Why not include a snack in your daily meal plan?

The typical meal plan includes olive oil, fresh herbs, healthy fats, fresh fruit, cherry tomatoes, tomato sauce, plant foods, etc.

Everything is fresh, and there is no need to use processed foods or highly processed foods. New is to include whole wheat pasta and whole grain bread in the Mediterranean lifestyle.

We thought Dolce Vita captured this Mediterranean style diet as a taste in a snack very well. The ingredients give the flavour:

Water lily seeds, tomato powder, black olive powder, Guérande sea salt, black pepper, extra-virgin olive oil.

First, let’s ditch the word “diet”

While the Mediterranean diet includes plant or plant-based foods, calorie counting and limitations are not as strict as other diets.

Foods like fruits, vegetables, whole-grain bread and cereals, nuts, pulses (peas, beans, and lentils), seeds are part of the meal plan. Saturated fat intake has decreased owing to less dairy and red meat consumption. There’s more seafood in the diet, especially oily fish. Omega 3 fatty acids from seafood, especially oily fish, are good for your heart.

And the Mediterranean diet is all about satisfaction, integrity, and pleasure in eating your favourite meals! There are no “diets” — rather a well-balanced and healthful food regimen that may be adjusted and implemented daily.

And it is more than 5 a day

The Mediterranean diet is similar to the government’s healthy eating recommendations outlined in the Eatwell Guide. The guide specifies what foods you should consume for you to have nutritious, healthy fats, a well-balanced diet and how much of each food group you should eat every day: at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and fresh vegetables i.e. bell peppers each day.

And last but not least, the Mediterranean diet supports your heart health.

Dolce Vita: The flavour is a new combination with the puffed Waterlily seeds. Tomatoes and olives are delicious in Italy and are part of common ingredients in every Italian household and the Mediterranean diet.

Did you know that?

Interesting whole grain pasta, whole wheat bread is becoming very common in the Mediterranean diet meal. The Mediterranean meal plan is delicious and well-rounded.

Whole grains, brown rice, fruits, and lean protein require nutrients in excellent diets, including lots of antioxidants and heart-healthy unsaturated fats.

A culinary trip to Rome

Rome Mediterranean diets

The snack Dolce Vita is like a trip to Rome. The city is always bustling with life, and the people are so friendly. There is incredible energy in the air.

You sit in a little cafe and have the most fantastic tomato and olive focaccia bread with a glass of red wine.

The flavours of the snack will be a celebration of Dolce Vita, and you will experience it every time you take a snacking trip to Italy!

And it will remind you how a good Mediterranean diet meal can taste and inspire you to cook more with fresh veggies. The Mediterranean diet might be a reduced risk of heart disease.

Water Lily seeds (puffed), tomatoes, olives and black pepper are the main ingredients of Oh Lily! Dolce Vita a great snack.

We are excited about this new snack idea because it is a healthy snack that is also delicious and crunchy. The combination of flavours is unique and will remind people of the Mediterranean diet.

French Riviera, vegan and cheese

Oh Lily! French Riviera, another great taste with natural ingredients only: water lily seeds, paprika, herbs de Provence, Guérande sea salt, black pepper and extra-virgin olive oil.

It looks that Govinda’s journeys as a “Food Artist” began on the French Riviera. She used her meal plan and cooked vegetarian food and Sattvic diets for yoga retreats.

Govinda developed a vegan snack, and the water lily seeds are naturally vegan and gluten-free. They were the ideal basis for her.

Now the recipe idea for CHEEZY VEGAN was born.

The dark chocolate flavours

Looking at the dark chocolate flavours, it seems like the inspiration of the flavours doesn’t only come from the Mediterranean area.

The water lily seeds are a good snack for people who are on the go and need something to snack on that is healthy and satisfying.

The snack is also perfect for people looking for a vegan snack option that is tasty and crunchy. It seems that different countries have inspired the flavours.

Oh Lily! Aztec Treasure, the cacao from Mexico.

Oh Lily! Japanese Gems is flavoured with green matcha tea. Doesn’t that make you feel like a trip to Japan?

Parisian Kiss is a tribute to the French routes of Govinda and Dewi and, of course, the capital, Paris.
